Image from Bruce Molsky's websiteBruce Molsky is an american folk musician, born in New York, 1955.
Initially he was inspired by blues music but during his studies at Cornell University he  became interested in old-time music. He worked as an engineer until he had passed the age of forty, before deciding to try the life as a professional musician for one year. Fifteen years later it seems that he's never going back to engineering.
Molsky plays fiddle, banjo and guitar as well as being a singer. He has been working both as a solo musician and in many collaborations, most recently with swedish musician Ale Möller.
Molsky's work also includes instructional videos in fiddle palying.
Since 2002 he is a member of the "super group", Mozaik with Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny, Nikola Parov and Rens van der Zalm.
